Bishop Paula Clark Visitation Bishop Paula Clark will visit St. Edmund’s on Sunday, January 18, 2026, as part of her customary episcopal visitation. She has asked the parish to come together for a single service that morning. Therefore, we will all gather for worship at 10:30 am, and there will be no 8:00 am service that day. Bishop Paula will preside and preach, and she will join us afterward for coffee hour.
Annual Meeting The Parish Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday, February 8, after the 10:30 am service. Please join us as we reflect on the church’s work in 2025 and look forward to another year of ministry. At the meeting we will also elect parishioners to serve in the vestry.
Bingo Event St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church will host a Bingo afternoon on Saturday, January 24, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, with doors opening at 12:30. Admission is $10 and includes one board; additional boards are $5, cash only. Refreshments will be available. Join for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and prizes.
Altar Flower Memorials Honor a loved one or mark a special occasion by donating altar flowers. Each arrangement is $35 and will be acknowledged in the Sunday bulletin. It’s a beautiful way to offer thanks, remembrance, or celebration within our worship space. Please contact the church office for more information.
Black History Month St. Edmund’s will celebrate Black History Month in the month of February honoring and recognizing the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. We will have special programming during coffee hour on Sundays. More information will be coming soon.
Supporting SNAP in Our Community This past holidays, our church came together for a food drive to help neighbors facing food insecurity. There are new resources available to support SNAP programming and ensure families stay connected to essential nutrition benefits. Volunteers needed for Bingo The Bingo committee needs your help. We are looking for at least 4 volunteers to help run the bingo game. If you are interested, please contact Charlotte Mays or any committee member.
Sunday School @ St. Edmund’s Sunday school @ St. Edmund’s is available for ages 3 and up, with a nursery for infants and toddlers. The Sunday School Team is excited for a year of new spiritual growth, discoveries and fun. We are thrilled to embark on a fresh learning journey with the children. The Sunday School will be held during the 10:30am service. All students are invited to come straight to the Primary/Nursery classroom at 10:30am. The nursery and Sunday school teachers are here to support all parents and children. For any questions, please reach out to Dawn Prather-Hawk.
Zoom Bible Study The weekly Tuesday Bible Study is at 6pm will take place online via Zoom. Please use the church’s regular zoom link. We are studying the Gospel according to Luke. No preparation is needed: just come as you are, as often as you can. Reading the scriptures together can be a fascinating experience of growth in faith & service.
Little Free Library Please bring a book once a month to restock our Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is located near the entrance of St. Edmund’s parking lot, to allow for easy access for St. Edmund’s parishioners, CICS-Washington Park students, families and staff, and other neighbors. Anyone can take a book or leave a book at any time. Please add children's books to the bottom row and teen/adult books to the top row. Thank you for expanding book access, inspiring readers, and building community with each other and our neighbors.
